Earlier this week we inspected a number of residential properties in Redcar. All of the buildings were in a state of disrepair. However, as they had been allowed to deteriorate with no maintenance over the years it was very easy to identify the structural issues as they had not been covered up or were hidden behind furniture. Although the state of the property would not be everyone’s cup of tea, to a structural engineer it is considered heaven; well not exactly – but close!
