We were not the designers for this chimney collapse mechanism – but we assisted DDM in the design assessment and reviewing of the pre-weakening works, the wind load capacity of the pre-weakened stacks, the proposed failure of the rear tags after detonation and the proposed drop zone once the explosives had done their work!
Good planning and teamwork created a safe end result!
